Re: Central/North AL GTG- Nov 12
Good deal Eric! Should be good engine off listenin' weather so bring enough demo music to choke a goat! I'll make sure to bring the smart charger to keep the battery hot. After 6 hours of rta work my smearing is just about GONE. Like an ocd bulldog I measured, nudged, measured again, nudged, rinse/repeat until the left and right were near mirror images of each other and laying on top of each other. The much more precise imaging is kinda distracting while driving:nuts:
Re: Central/North AL GTG- Nov 12
looking forward to seeing everybody again.
my car won't be playing music but luckily it's only an hour drive of silence down to Al's. :D
Re: Central/North AL GTG- Nov 12
That's too bad Erin, I was looking forward to hearing your system.
Re: Central/North AL GTG- Nov 12
So does that mean Erin, you will have more time to help me correct my possible Finals debacle?

eh, it happens. just not enough time to get it knocked out fully. I dunno, though... if I just focus on getting the parts installed and worry about getting all the cosmetic stuff (mainly the trunk plexi/lighting stuff) finished up over the winter, I can get it playing.

of course. either way.
Re: Central/North AL GTG- Nov 12
Cosmetic stuff takes a back seat to sound. Remember when Slade came to your house with fiberglass that wasn't fully cured?;)

yea. but the problem is if I don't do it right the first time it may never get done. I know me. so I was taking this install one step at a time. really would like to re-do my kicks entirely but I don't see that happening. truth be told, I'm to the point in this hobby where if I made enough money I'd gladly take the car to someone else and let them do the work.

I'm the same way these days. My next vehicle will probably have some pillar pods done by one of the handful of trusted fabricators. Maybe Todd Crowder since he's local IF he hasn't retired by then. If not there's Chris Pate, Steve Cook, and a few others. I don't mind the tuning part or simple install stuff that doesn't have to be pretty. Still hate installing but I now have enough sense to farm out stuff that's way over my skill/patience level.

This is shaping up to be a good meet

Yep, looking forward to it for sure!
