NEW EQUIPMENT LIST, DISREGARD THE OLD ONE
Equipment list:
Subs:
2 Tantric LD 8s custom built for infinite baffle. These will be mounted in the rear deck in an infinite baffle setup.
Factory integration/processing:
JBL MS-8
Sub amps:
Ground Zero GZNA 1.2550DXII
Front door speakers:
Alpine Type R 6.5" component set temporarily
Rear door speakers:
Probably just gonna throw the Kenwood 6x8s I have laying around in there.
Front speaker amp:
Ground Zero GZHA 4200XII
Not amping the rear door speakers. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Deadener:
Tantric VibraFlex AKA Gator Skin. Cuz this stuff is THICK and STRONG. I also plan to go all out with MLV and acoustical foam, I want this car to be as quiet of a ride as possible. Reducing that noise floor, yo. Roof, floor, doors, pillars, the whole deal.
Second Skin Damplifier Pro, Overkill Pro, and Luxury Liner as well.
As needed I will be adding banks of supercapacitors. Cuz I really, really want some of them.
Interesting. Will definitely be watching this build unfold.
always in for a build with beefy 8s :)
You'll be quite happy with the Ground Zero amps. Keep us in mind when youre deciding on your long term speakers. Also, if you've yet to purchase your dampner, we have that as well.
That's the guy right there ^^^
Glad to see you are moving towards the GZ amps, you won't be disappointed, I know I wasn't. I'd love to see you go with something other than the MS-8, maybe a PPI DSP-88R or something along those lines.
After doing a bit of research I've decided to swap out the JBL MS-8 for the PPI DSP-88R. Easier interface, more reliable, and more features to it.
