I'm starting to think that maybe the mounting screws may be too long and are interfering with the loading mechanism.
Well the buyer filed with P-P even after I publicly (on deema) agreed to send him a refund, if he returned the unit. I had initally suggested that United radio have a look at it to determine if the problem was due to shipping damage or if he had used too long of a screw to mount the radio...he responded to me in a hostile fasion, claiming I had sent him a bad HU and I was trying to pin this on him, so I said fine, return it and I'll refund you.
FFWd to yesterday> got the CD7200 back and to my (not so)surprise..it works fine!
Called P-P, told them about the bogus claim and they have changed the claim status to "BUYER'S REMORSE"
And that I should get my shipping money and custom fees back. (pending approval) :sam:

Wow...I missed this thread. Sorry for your troubles, but at least you can sell it again.
I guess it pays off to have a clean transaction record and good "karma" :)

This sum is the money I payed for shipping and Customs fees (because he didn't bother properly filling out the custom's declaration form)that I was charged to pick up my 7200 from the post office.

Great story though.
I'm going with the "screws too long" theory.... Most units have the screw dimensions stamped right next to the hole :D

Just curious if you still have it? I have a CD7000 (Top of the line unit from 2 yrs prior. Looks essentially identical) that after 11 years of use is starting to show it's age.
