Saw these posted a few months ago but at the time I had just bought a pair of Magnepan 1.7i's and couldn't justify another $600 in speakers. Was browsing cl yesterday and saw them relisted for $300 and at that price I couldn't say no. Drivers are BMS 4538's, PHL 1120's and 18" PHL 7031's on the bottom. Not quite as refined as the 1.7's but as far as sheer output goes I think I've found something that will give my car a run for it's money.

Wonder why the waveguide is ridged?
My first guess was that it's just the plys showing through from the plywood as you router it down.Quote:

Double layer of ApplePly with a maple veneer. Not the greatest finish on them but the cabinets are pretty solid with quite a bit of internal bracing and a fair amount of Blackhole inside as well.Quote:
