Re: How bad could they be?
I would either go with the Zapco, or try one of these SS Rubicons

I like the side-mounted controls and hook-ups, especially for size-constrained spots.
Re: How bad could they be?
I had forgotten about those. Having all the connections on one side was another reason I liked the PG amps but my friend also sells SS so I could likely get a good price on those too.

Re: How bad could they be?
What is the rest of your system? But, if you ideally want to keep the cost down as much as possible, just keep and use the Arc XDi1200.6 amps you have (how many of these do you have?). You bridge those two sub channels and you get 600 watts. The amp does rated plus. Besides, most of the music you listen to comes from the front stage, not the sub. And, you're getting 150 watts per channel for your mids and highs (if going active). That Arc amp is a high-end amp. You'd be downgrading (from what you are looking at) if you switched out from the Arc.
Re: How bad could they be?
I kinda agree ^^^ Are you needing max power at 8 ohms, or is it 4 ohms each? Wondering if a big four channel would work for you.
Re: How bad could they be?
I may have misunderstood, but he appears to want at least 1000 watts @ 8 ohms in a small amp or two of em that can be strapped.
Euphonic is on it ! A Jacobs Accuvolt and a HV Linear Power amp, maybe ?
Re: How bad could they be?
It's for a JBL 2269h with a single 8ohm coil.
Re: How bad could they be?
Ohhhhh! For some reason, thought it was a pair. Now that changes things.
Re: How bad could they be?
Impedance matching transformer?
