Notloudenuf's Laundry Room mods
Back in 2007 we hired a "contractor" to add a laundry room into our garage. Our house was originally built with the washer/dryer in the garage and we never liked it. So we enclosed about 7' of the garage and extended the garage to match.
The original completion of the laundry room looked like this.

Nothing is really laid out well and there is very little storage to speak of. I like minimalism and efficiency. There was no efficiency in this room.
So, I drew up this idea using stock cabinets to gain some storage space

Re: Notloudenuf's Laundry Room mods
Lowe's had the cabinets on sale 20% off so it seemed like the right time to get them. My wife approved the plan and the online purchase was made
My Dad helped me put up the cabinets.

I then picked out this piece of wood to make my own countertops

The wall corners were pretty rounded so I had to scribe the wood to match the wall contour

then the staining began

Three coats of stain and 2 coats of poly to finish off

I'm very happy with the final product, as is my wife. If you want something done right, either do it yourself or properly communicate your plan and expectations.

Awesome sauce sir! Lowe's has this mock butcher-block setup similar to what you used that is very inspirational.
Have any more mods planned? How's the kitchen upgrades and deck layout going?

Nice you may want to check out bar top epoxy for those it is much more durable then poly. I have try. Awesome upgrade. I bet it sounds great getting your clothes nice and clean after that last fiberglass build. Lol

The kitchen was completed last summer. If anyone cares I might do a before/after on that. Still super happy with that transformation.

This is one of the best and economical places to get it from.

I see no spare time in your days. if you have time to tidy up the laundry room- you must have all ducks in a row
super work though. looks like it doubled your usable space as well
