I was practicing action shots at my daughter's soccer game, when out of nowhere these guys made a low pass.....quite quickly I might add, lol. I wouldn't have even been able to catch them but for the fact I had the camera setup for the game shots......

I thought the shots turned out decent considering their velocity, and my being caught completely off gaurd......lol. I wish I'd have caught them when they were right over the players, bout 10 feet over their heads.......several of the girls who happened to see them jumped or covered their heads......

Trying to get into time lapse photography a bit... My wife picked me up an intervalometer for Christmas as I had been wanting to try my hand at astral photography. On a clear night out here the number of stars you can see is mind blowing. At the moment I only have the 18-55mm lens that came with my Nikon and a Tamron 70-300mm lens. Hoping to pick up something an f/2.8 lens but they are pretty far out of my amateur photography budget!
Here is a clip I made of the sun coming up yesterday morning, the time of year does not make it ideal at the moment due to the location of the sun. But, it turned out pretty cool I think.

And here is one I shot earlier of the stars, few planes passing over and a meteor (looks better on YouTube / full screen), then the battery died, so time to invest in a battery grip!!

Using Lightworks to convert the images into videos, it works OK but does not work with RAW so I have to shoot with JPEG.
