Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
You must have huge bookshelves, Bob! Those are going to sound awesome.
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
That's gonna look awesome!
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
Nice ! :)
Will there be separate chambers for the midrange and bass?

Thanks Oliver. All 3 drivers will have separate sealed chambers with the recommended airspace requirements.
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
I need to do something like this, I have those 8" Visaton woofers from the meet that you left here that I want to put into some speakers for my office. Likely with the RS75-4 that I currently use as mids and not sure on the tweeters yet. My biggest headache is figuring out a crossover for it all!! Ultimately I want my son to put them together, figured it would be a neat project for him.
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
looks like the tweeter has it's own separate airspace :D

Nauru, have you noticed there are crossovers and some help making your own at Parts Express ?

Saw these today:
3-Way Crossover Board 8 Ohm 250/4000 Hz
Thinking about grabbing a pair too for a little stereo setup in my son's room.
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
Hic's keyboard is slurring.

Yep, just not sure which will work best. Both the W200 and the RS75 are 4ohm, not figured out a tweeter yet, but if possible I would use some ND16FA-6 that I also already have. Just would need to figure out which crossover works with all of those!

D a m n Bob :snap:
Somebody is just going out of their way to make a truly remarkable sounding speaker . It is ALL that, to my untrained eye.
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
Looks fantastic, Bob!
Why did you square off the sides of the bottom speaker enclosure?

Thanks bud! If only the looks were directly proportionate to the sound.

Thanks bud! I squared off the sides to save on lumber. The bottom is squared of for a steady base.

I'm waiting for the coal eyes and the carrot for realism.
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
You use the carrot for the nose? I've been doing it wrong....
Re: Bookshelf Speaker 3way build
the carrot is used as a wave guide
