Re: Bobby K's 2013 Camaro 2SS/RS
He says they'll work fine, and asked how much power. I told him either 750 watts or 1750 depending on final load, and he said that should be fine on 2 of them...but I don't know if he meant 1750 watts...that seemed excessive for an IB setup. Waiting for confirmation.

Andy's message back to me was, "You'll be a happy camper (smiley face)" That's all I needed to hear! I believe they are going to be installed firing through the rear deck with their beautiful asses hanging down! Should look cool as hell, and maybe even leave some trunk space for like a Frisbee or something...

Final load will be 1 ohm, so 875 each is available. I'm sure Benny Z will protect them when he sets the gains. Once I get the car back, I will probably be relying on you guys heavily to dial it in. I really appreciate you following up on the IB situation!
Re: Bobby K's 2013 Camaro 2SS/RS
When I posted the head unit pic on camaro5.com, one of the guys noticed a couple small lights were not glowing on the HVAC knob on the right hand side of the PAC unit (the defrost and the Max a/c snowflake thing). I messaged the installer to take a look at it. I'm glad that was caught, as I don't want to be driving an hour back to their shop for little things like that. I know he's trying to knock it out quickly, as Im sure they have other cars, plus they are hosting SQology this weekend, plus he knows I'm anxious, but I told him to please take his time, as I'd rather have it perfect, than have it back quickly with issues that need fixed...

Im now thinking series/parallel (4 ohm, 750 watts) will be plenty of power, Jay. WINISD is showing a Qtc of .6, so I'm told with cabin gain, I should be in a pretty good position...?

Idk why the other 2 pics showed up.
Cool thing about frog subs is series or parallel is simply a switch on the sub, not re-wiring...

I'd probably see what Ben thinks, but I would probably start at 4 ohms. Not sure if they spec it out, but I wonder if the damping factor would be higher at 4 ohm instead of 1 ohm.

Re: Bobby K's 2013 Camaro 2SS/RS
I certainly will. Question: I was told I should use a subsonic filter, and Helix claims there is one on the SPXL1000, but I can't find any specs on it. Is this something that can be done with the Arc PS-8, or does it need to be physically done on the amp?
Re: Bobby K's 2013 Camaro 2SS/RS
It's usually a knob on most amps I've done...typically goes from like 5-30Hz. But I'm pretty sure the PS8 can do it.
It's just setting up a bandpass filter on your sub channels, and you'd have more control over slope and such going through the PS8.
