That sounds promising.

This is perfect !
Kind of an audio upgrade, though in a different sense. Replaced these:

Still has mufflers though:

I've been wanting to remove my resonators for a while but never got around to it. sounds good.
Just in case anyone hasn't been texted or caught up with the chatbox on what's going on, figured out the volume issue. Turns out, with the Zapco amps, the controller... well. Whole story, Glenn and MoparMike talked me into experimenting more with on axis mounting of the midranges and tweeters. So with some awesome SQ towels mounted in the dash corners, turned them as vertical as possible, and wholly smolly wowzers! We are in SQ heaven now! Definitely the way to go with this car. Alright, so with the way I have the signal inputs wired now, we have an input cable from the dash speaker outputs of the factory amp, the rear speaker outputs, and the door speaker outputs. Was using just the dash and door inputs, one into each DC360.4 - well, wanted to get that rear speaker input for the midranges again, since it seems to have a broader signal range. REALLY didn't want to drag out the laptop just to switch that, controller should be able to handle it, right?
So while scrolling through the menus on the controller, I noticed it has an output setting, and DB setting. And the midrange/tweeter amp was set to -9db. Scrolled to the midbass amp, and it showed -11db! Well you can imagine what happened after setting those to 0db. The midbass... is alive!!! IT'S ALIVE!!! Man, totally changes the way you feel about an install after hearing it start meet or exceed those elusive expectations.
Next steps:
1) Build pods for midranges/tweeters.
2) Deaden doors more.
3) Install JL Audio FiX and clean up the wiring.
4) Subwoofer experimentation.
5) Amp rack.
6) Buy strawberry lollipop and do seductive photoshoot at the goal net of our nearest soccer field.
So, one idea was mounting a 10" subwoofer under the rear package shelf. With the midbass playing at their potential now, man wow. Them puppies put the wham in the slam. Really just need something that can cover about 50Hz and down. So a ported 10" come to fruition. If you've ever had the pleasure of hearing Clay's car (or the displeasure, depending on how loud he decided to abuse you with it) - then you'll know, do NOT rule out or assume a subwoofer's capability just due to the size.
So, back to the quest at hand. Apparently... the Charger and 300 get this really nice wide rear shelf, with a flat surface:

But Challenger gets this barely 9" wide shelf:

And of course it couldn't be flat on the bottom:
