Those door panels are super easy to remove. Pop off the sail panel and the trim around the lever, remove 3 screws and a push pin, then pull the panel straight up. Coax can sound pretty decent in them. I've put them in 2 of the inlaws' trucks and was surprised at the results.

I will say this, on my Avalanche (same bits and pieces), my A-pillars both broke with minimal effort. Plastic enbrittlement is my guess
Also when I was cleaning my Avalanche after purchase, I broke the kick panels and the sills. Same reason.
Just be careful but as you know, stuff still happens just because of materials.
