From Sundown: Next generation SD series in the works (SD-4). Changing to a Neo motor and all new soft parts. More info will be released as available. ETA early 2019.

Interesting. Jacob and Nick from SI came to my last GTG. Maybe I can get them over again and bring some demo equipment :D

I've had some of the 2 generations of the SD and very much look forward to seeing how these perform. I loved the SD-3 with the one exception of how easily they'd audibly bottom-out if over driven. I'm hopeful this limitation can be minimized/eliminated in the SD-4. Also, love the neodymium motors, hoping prices stay in-line with previous generation.

It's like you're in my head. I pulled the 10SD3 out of my truck and put a ported SA10 in its place for just that reason. Also a nice sounding sub. Haven't found the bottom of it yet :).

I really wish I lived closer to these things. I grew up in Bama, but usually fly back when I visit.
