I made the chest armor out of a black t-shirt and foam cutouts, using wally world gym mats.

Painted them black then beveled the edges on the belt sander.

The larger armor plates had to be curved using a heat gun to soften the foam and I formed a cup shape by holding it down over my bent knee, while it cooled down.
The foam was attached using a ton of hotmelt and plenty of colorful cursing. :heh:
The mask's eyes are lenses from a pair of "gas station sunlasses" , fastened from the inside, again using pain, cursing and hotmelt.

Junior got a ton of compliments on his costume.
Dan Logan, who plays Boba Fett in Star wars(as a kid), gave him a thumbs up.

Here is the kid behing the mask...notice how a BNIB, never fired(until very recently), Soviet SKS puts a grin on a young man's face.
